Numerous festivals honor the beauty of the blossoms during this brief time, giving you the chance to enjoy the stunning landscapes, along with cultural performances, food vendors, and other exciting events.

Seoul’s Most Popular Cherry Blossom Festival: Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival

When I first moved to South Korea, one of the first events I attended was the Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival.

Plan on spending a few hours exploring the festival. I would suggest visiting a little before the sun goes down to catch the sunset as well as the nighttime vibes.

During spring in South Korea, dress in light layers to adjust to the fluctuating temperatures throughout the day. Is fine dust an issue during Spring in South Korea?

Fine dust, also known as yellow dust or hwangsa, can affect Seoul during the spring months, especially in March and April. This phenomenon occurs when dust from the deserts in China and Mongolia mixes with urban pollutants, leading to poor air quality on certain days. Be sure to check the air quality index during your visit and consider wearing a mask if levels are high.
On days when the air quality was poor, I often felt like I was coming down with something—experiencing headaches and, occasionally, even a bloody nose. To combat this, I recommend showering at night to wash off any dust and pollutants before heading to bed. I recommend MISEMISE app to check air quality.
